Vologda Open Air Museum ‘Semenkovo’ welcomes you to our renewed website!
Nobody disputes that we’re living in the Internet epoch, which is very important part of cultural life. We had a fear that the information about the Museum and its collections on the website decreased in number of real visitors. But obviously the website is a modern, useful and handy mechanism which completes and widens spectrum of services. Therefore it’s very difficult to find the museum which hasn’t its official website.

The museum ‘Semenkovo’ has been having its website since 2007. It was in the context of the idea and design of that time. But there is time for everything. And now it’s time for changing.

We tried to save all information. And we hope that it’s the modern, colorful, informative and easily understood website for foreigners.
We don’t plan to stop, so your feedback about the structure of the site, navigation convenience, information and failures will be appreciated very much.

The works were realized under The “Preservation of the Russian House in the Russian North” Project supported by the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. And the Grant was for restoration of the interiors of the Kopylov house from the village Korostelevo.
